- DynaTool version 1.0.3 ((c) Copyright CR Enginnering Analysis
- & Computing 1996)
-
- Thank you for picking up the freeware copy of DynaTool. This is
- the second public release, the first release was a beta test
- version.
-
- DynaTool was originally designed to process data for seismic
- analysis of structures, that is generating sets of random time
- histories from input reponse spectra, generating response spectra
- from time histories, generating Fourier plots to derive frequency
- content and converting between acceleration-velocity-displacement
- records.
-
- As the program has developed, including the addition of the
- calculation module, it has become apparent that it will serve
- other fields where processing of long vectors is necessary. This
- new release has, therefore, had the seismic specific nature
- removed.
-
- DynaTool requires a minimum of an 80386 processor plus a maths co-
- processor. It runs reasonably quickly on an 80486-66, a Pentium
- P120 at 100MHz gives good performance. It will run under Windows
- 3.1, Windows 95 and Windows NT. No processor specific or OS
- speecific optimisation has been included at this release, excepting
- the basic processor requirement. There are no other intentional
- system requirements.
-
- This zip file contains the following files;
-
- readme.txt - this file
- dynatool.exe - the freeware executable
- dynatool.hlp - the help file
- rspect.csv - a test response spectrum (acceleration)
- envelope.csv - a sample complex envelope
- timehist.txt - a 10 second long, 0.01 interval, acceleration
- time history generated from the response
- spectrum rspect.csv using 25 iterations, high
- frequency content, ASCE and NUREG compliance
- and baseline correction. The rise time is 1
- second, decay 3 seconds.
- testdata.dnt - the DynaTool data file saved following the above
- calculations.
-
- The files DynaTool.exe and DynaTool.hlp should reside in the same
- directory. Data files do not have to be placed in the same
- directory as the executable. The program will create an ini file,
- dynatool.ini in your Windows directory. No other files are
- created by the program.
-
- Comments and possible error reports can be sent to the address or
- e-mail address below. There is a DynaTool page on the CR
- Engineering web page:
-
- DynaTool is NOT shareware. It has been released as freeware with
- output restrictions to enable full evaluation to take place. This
- version of the program can be freely redistributed so long as it
- is accompanied by this Readme.txt file.
